Seriously, in your head right now, what are the names of the 5 people you spend the most time with? Do you see them? One of the number one traits of successful people is association.
Jim Rohn said, "You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with." For me, those 5 (actually 6) people I associate with every day are ages 13 down to 1 Lol! In the midst of trying to keep the highchair sanitized, the kids bathroom sink cleared of smeared toothpaste and finding the tv remote AGAIN, throughout my day I have to remind myself to associate with people who will build me up. For me that looks like listening to a message on a topic I know I need help with (patience, forgiveness...) while I'm doing laundry. Or taking 15 minutes to read from an uplifting book like "Think and Grow Rich" while our baby is napping.
This weekend I had the great privilege of associating with some of the top leaders in this country. One of which was Terri Savelle Foy. She is the CEO of an international Christian ministry, best-selling author, conference speaker, and success coach to hundreds of thousands of people all over the world. What an amazing woman she is!
Most of us know the Proverb that says "birds of a feather flock together". We absolutely MUST make time to associate with people who are in life where we want to be! If all I did was do my "mom" duties day in-day out, my life would not be balanced. My number one association every morning before anyone else wakes up is God and His word. This is a non-negotiable.
That's pretty black and white LOL!
Who are your 5 people?
